(York, PA) -- Dr. Phil Avillo announced today that he has received an "A" rating from the National Rifle Association in his race to unseat the incumbent in Pennsylvania's 19th Congressional District.
"As a former military officer and historian, my strong concern for Second Amendment rights stands alongside my commitment to preserving habitat, protecting clean air and clean water, and promoting outdoor recreation in our state." Avillo said.
"We must work together to protect our hunting and fishing heritage, and make sure our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to share in these great Pennsylvania traditions. The NRA is an important partner in this effort, and I am proud to have earned their top grade."
The NRA has rated Dr. Avillo as a "Solidly pro-gun candidate." That is, an "A candidate who has expressed strong support for NRA positions on Second Amendment issues."
